What is a Vehicle Immobiliser?
A Vehicle Immobiliser is an electronic security device which stops a vehicle from being started unless the digital key is present, so hotwiring isn’t an option. Factory-fitted immobilisers are compulsory on all new car models since 1998 – so if your car was built after then you will have the basic immobiliser fitted.

Known ad the relay method, a thief can use a device to pick up the signal of your car key from inside your house and then clone the key.
